Description
KEY FEATURES
-
Anaerobic Gas Generation Sachet 3.5 Litres
- Use in conjunction with an Anaerobic container and anaerobic indicator (Methylene Blue)
- Mode of action: It absorbs present oxygen inside the Anaerobic container, maintains carbon dioxide, and provides an adequate environment for anaerobic microorganism growth
- No need to add water for Gas generation, no pressure build-up
- It is essential to place the Anaerobic Gas Generation paper sachet in the Anaerobic jar/container and close the lid of the Anaerobic jar/container within 1 minute of opening the foil sachet to prevent loss of reactivity and ensure full anaerobic conditions
-
For Laboratory use only
INSTRUCTION TO USE
Cat. no. AGG0001L, Anaerobic Gas Generation Sachet is specifically designed for use with Consult MicroBio Anaerobic Jar ANJ0001, 3.5 litres Anaerobic jars/containers, or other brands of jars/containers of similar capacity.
- Place the appropriate numbers of inoculated media plates in the suitable anaerobic jar. Media plates with vented petridishes/tubes to facilitate gas exchange
- Open an Anaerobic Gas Generation sachet and take out the paper sachet from within
- Place Consult MicroBio Anaerobic Gas Generation paper sachet in the appropriate Anaerobic container containing plate/test tube carrier.
- Handle with care: Upon exposure to the air Consult MicroBio Anaerobic Gas Generation paper sachet will become warm due to exothermic reaction
- It is essential to place the Anaerobic Gas Generation paper sachet in the Anaerobic jar/container and close the lid of the Anaerobic jar/container within 1 minute of opening the foil sachet to prevent loss of reactivity and ensure full anaerobic conditions
- After incubation at the appropriate temperature and period, remove the plates/tubes and examine for anaerobic growth (if any). In case re-incubation is required, a fresh Anaerobic Gas Generation paper sachet must be included and the entire process needs to be repeated
- Upon completion of incubation, discard the exhausted sachet with appropriate precautions and discard the same as Bio-Hazzard waste.
Biochemical (Visual) Indicator for better process control
To get better control in the Anaerobic process, we recommend the use of Consult MicroBio Anaerobic Indicator (AI00001) in the Anaerobic jar/ container as a chemical indicator which provides a visual indication to confirm whether anaerobic conditions are achieved or not.
